I'm an engineering leader with over 15 years of experience, specializing in consumer-facing software and web accessibility. For the past 8 years, I have led diverse teams and built successful digital businesses across various industries.
Being entirely self-taught, I started my professional journey as a developer at the age of 18. My interest for creating great web experiences has taken me all over the world, where I've had the opportunity to work with exceptional teams, from startups to Fortune 500 companies.
Open source has always been both a passion and an integral part of my work. Most of my personal projects are open source, and my contributions to the community focus on accessibility, bug fixes, and documentation.

- Initially joined as a Senior Engineer and got promoted three times (→ Staff Engineer → Principial Engineer → Director of Engineering) with increasing responsibility of scope, delivery, and people.
- Have the privilige to work in various different countries and (work) cultures for clients from different industries (e.g., Banking in London/Bucharest/Amsterdam, Telco in Madrid/Copenhagen, Consumer in Munich/Copenhagen/Berlin, etc.)
- I am responsible for end-to-end technology (and product) delivery throughout a product's lifecycle where I work closely with (non-technical) stakeholders and our diverse cross-functional delivery teams.
- My functional role ususally starts as the initial architect including technology vision, engineering principles, project scoping (technology & people) and changes throughout the lifecycle as needed; e.g., being the very first engineer on the team creating the boilerplate or first features, working on infrastructure related tasks, further defining the technology vision and roadmap, etc.
- As part of larger digital transformations, I work with our clients on their architecture principles, technology vision, and modernisation strategies.

- Worked on a variety of microsites for international clients using a custom jQuery application framework focused on web animations and single page application design.
- Started a series of "brown bag" sessions around new ECMAScript language features and its practical application in our development practices.
